This act is to ensure all Ontarians have access to all programs and services to improve daily life for a person with a disability. This means if you have physical or mental disabilities you will have access to programs and services to improve opportunities for a person with a disability.
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act was first applied to the public as of January 1st, 2010. This was when the public first had to start complying with all the rules and regulations of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. This law was first discovered by Sir Dalton who saw that people were not being treated equally and disable people were being treated differently than others when it came to the workplace. When it came time to enforce laws about this problem no one took anything seriously. This was when Sir Dalton decided to come up with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. This was the only law that would have rules and regulations with penalties that would be strictly enforced.
After this law was enforced many changes were made in the public for disabled people to become more involved. After these rules and regulations were put into place people with disabilities were more involved in organizations, volunteer groups, and even in the workplace. Businesses and organizations, as well as volunteer groups, have specific rules they are required to follow to ensure that everyone is treated equally and that people who are disabled have the same opportunities as those who do not have disabilities.
Sir Dalton started the first Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act rules and regulations so that he could see that everyone was created equal. There are many boards that make up this act and many of its members are people with disabilities so it is ensured that the rules that are made are seen as fair to those who have disabilities.
Sir Dalton wanted to ensure that people with disabilities were treated equally and that is why the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Acts job is to identify, remove, and prevent barriers for those who have disabilities. Barriers are the main problem that makes work and other duties harder for people with disabilities. If those barriers are identified and broken they can be treated like everyone else. People may need accommodations but with those accommodations, they are able to be part of society like everyone else.
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act is a great act that was put into place to protect and help people with disabilities grow in the community and be a part of something they are not normally a part of. They are meant to be in the world working and with this act, they are able to make money and be more independent without having to be judged and treated differently. This act ensures that they are accommodated for but they are not treated like outcasts. The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act makes sure that all rules and regulations are enforced with inspections, paperwork, and will fine if needed. This act is taken seriously and the people who it affects is taken seriously.
The purpose is to make everyone equal. There is no person who should feel different because he or she has a mental or physical disability. A disability is not their fault nor should they be punished for having it. They should be able to be in the workplace as well as volunteer and be involved in community organizations. People with disabilities want the same thing that everyone else wants, to be treated normally and equally. They deserve a great life and to be involved in the community and that is what this act is all about.
Since the discovery of the act, people have been joining and been making improvements and changes over the many years of its implementation to ensure everyone is welcomed with open arms and treated with respect and equality. The main thing about the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act is to assure people they have a rightful place in the community and workplace so that they can start a life for themselves, make money, and make friends along the way. No one deserves to feel left out and that is why so many people have banded together to help make this organization such a huge success.
